We are seeking an enthusiastic, team‑orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at White Cross Vets, Handsworth on a full‑time basis. White Cross Vets operates 21 clinics across the UK, each with teams that have various interests and specialisations. Our team members are encouraged to further their training through certificates, and some have achieved certificate status. White Cross Vets, Handsworth is located just 15 minutes from Sheffield city centre, with excellent transport links from the A1, M1, and M180, as well as a bus route to and from the city. Our fully‑equipped practice boasts a surgical suite, dental x‑ray, in‑house lab, digital x‑ray, high‑quality ultrasound scanner, HT Vista mass scanner, Imagyst cytology, 4 consulting rooms, a dual‑stationed prep room, a spacious car park, and an onsite shop.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high‑quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

General Responsibilities

  • Assist with theatres and surgical procedures
  • Carrying out radiography and dental x‑rays
  • Providing general nursing care
  • Managing nurse consultations
  • Managing the dispensary
  • Handling administrative tasks

Working Hours

This is a full‑time position offering 37.5 hours per week. The Saturday rota is required; no out‑of‑hours duties. Part‑time or flexible hours may be considered.
