As a Practice Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of all practices within the group. Your key responsibilities will include driving financial performance, enhancing team engagement, ensuring client satisfaction, and contributing to the overall success of the practices. In this role, you will handle monthly payroll preparation, manage holiday coverage, process overtime, and oversee company sick pay and SSP payments. You'll also be responsible for managing diary schedules, maintaining health and safety standards, and ensuring that facilities and equipment are well‑maintained, including arranging repairs and managing group debt protocols. Additionally, you will participate in the annual pay review and staff cost budgeting, conduct appraisals and performance management for non‑clinical staff, and collaborate with the Operations team to plan and promote practice events, such as Pet Health Plans, career days, discounts, and bundles. Managing client complaints will also be a key part of your role.
We are looking for an experienced manager who thrives in a busy, fast‑paced environment and has excellent people skills. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational abilities, a solid understanding of finance, and the ability to quickly adapt to new tasks and systems. They must be able to prioritise effectively, handle multiple responsibilities, and motivate a large team. Experience in managing Health and Safety, projects, and accreditations would be highly beneficial. Additionally, the role requires the ability to travel between our branches, so a clean driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
This is a full‑time role, working 40 hours per week over 4 or 5 days.
