Overview

Are you an experienced RVN looking for a fresh opportunity in a fun, supportive, and skilled team? Overdale Veterinary Centre is now hiring. We’re on the lookout for a lovely RVN to join our fantastic team in Derbyshire on a 12-month fixed term contract covering maternity leave.

Overdale Veterinary Centre is based in the picturesque spa town of Buxton, nestled in the Peak District. The clinic has a classical feel with an ethos of providing a high standard of clinical care across the board. We have a highly supportive team who work well and collaborate with each other. The team consists of 1 Clinical Director, 5 Small Animal Vets, 2 Mixed Vets, 6 Nurses, 1 Head Nurse, 1 Animal Care Assistant and 6 Reception staff. We have 3 small animal consulting rooms (2 vet and 1 nurse), one dedicated operating theatre, an imaging suite (digital x-ray, ultrasound and endoscopy plus Dental x-ray arriving soon), a prep area with dental facilities and in-house laboratory. We also have separate cat and dog kennels.

Working Hours

This is a full-time permanent role working 37.5 hours per week over 5 days. There will be a mixture of early and late shifts with Saturdays on a rota basis. There is no on call or Bank Holiday work required.

We’re looking for a warm, confident RVN who is experienced and able to complete consults, monitor anaesthetic, placing IVs, taking bloods and inpatient care.
