Join to apply for the Principal Product Designer role at IVC Evidensia. At IVC Evidensia we’re on a mission to change animal healthcare around the world. We have thousands of clinics, hospitals and specialists across the UK, Europe and Canada, serving many millions of animals every year. Our products and services accompany every moment, from home care to nutrition, hygiene, vaccinations, wellness checks and more. We are there with reassuring, trusted advice, specialist health treatments and everything in between.

Our Technology teams are responsible for the systems and infrastructure that support these outcomes, including patient records, health plans, client communications, diary management and dispensing. We are looking for a Principal Product Designer to join us on our mission of Healthier Pets = Happier Owners.

What you will be doing:

  • You will be a strategic leader working across a wider domain than a single squad.
  • You’ll collaborate with Heads of Technology (Product, Data, Design, Engineering) and Senior Operational Partners to deliver real change for our healthcare teams.
  • You should be comfortable working with ambiguity and use your skills to:
    • Gain understanding of the veterinary/pet healthcare world, customers and users, leveraging prior research and contributing to user research artefacts over time.
    • Champion user-centred principles by setting context, mapping stories/services, prototyping, iterating and measuring impact, and helping product teams mature their practices.
    • Think big, test small with end-to-end thinking, while remaining pragmatic about feasibility within a digital transformation and short feedback loops.
    • Shape strategy by leading 0 to 1 initiatives, evaluating value, viability and feasibility in collaboration with other Principals or Heads of Product, Engineering and Architecture.
    • Provide leadership at Senior Leadership level within the Tribe and technology function, mentor fellow Product Designers, and contribute to cross-functional collaboration across Operations and Marketing.

What are you expected to bring to the team:

  • Experience: ~10+ years creating and shipping intuitive digital experiences with a portfolio; healthcare experience is a bonus.
  • Team player: Kind, humble, authentic, and collaborative in cross-functional settings.
  • Communication: Clear articulation of product and design decisions to partners across departments; provide honest, actionable feedback.
  • Growth mindset: Proactive in improving craft, collaboration and product outcomes.
  • Toolkit: Proficient with Figma, design systems, and prototyping to validate usability or product-market fit.

You Matter to Us:

We invest in you and offer a range of benefits to support your career and life beyond work, including:

  • Hybrid and remote working options
  • Dog-friendly office
  • 6.6 weeks of annual leave, inclusive of bank holidays
  • Birthday holiday entitlement and enhanced family-friendly leave
  • Discretionary annual bonus
  • Private medical insurance or Cash Health Plan (eligibility applies)
  • Company pension with IVC Evidensia contributions
  • Cycle to Work and Green Car schemes (eligibility applies)
  • 24/7 confidential Employee Assistance Programme
  • Wellbeing initiatives
