At IVC Evidensia, we’re combining our industry-leading veterinary services with modern technology to build resilient, scalable platforms that support better care. We\’re now hiring a Platform Engineering Manager to lead and grow our platform engineering team, helping unify our infrastructure practices across Europe and empowering teams to deliver quality software at speed.
Who We Are 🐶
IVC Evidensia is undergoing a major digital transformation. From modernising legacy systems to building cloud-native platforms, we’re laying the technical foundations to support over 2,500 veterinary practices in 20 countries.
The Role 💡
As Platform Engineering Manager, you’ll lead a team of engineers responsible for building and evolving our serverless, AWS-first infrastructure. You’ll balance hands-on technical leadership with people management — shaping the platform vision, enabling delivery, and supporting engineers’ growth.
You will:
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of platform engineers
- Define and drive the strategy for a scalable, serverless AWS infrastructure (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, etc.)
- Oversee the design and management of AWS cloud infrastructure using CDK
- Guide the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using AWS-native tools
- Foster best practices in automation, observability, and platform-as-a-product thinking
- Collaborate closely with engineering, security, and product leaders to align platform capabilities with business needs
- Champion operational excellence using Datadog and AWS monitoring/logging tools
What You’ll Bring 🔧
We’re looking for a leader who combines strong technical knowledge with a people-first mindset.
- Proven experience leading or managing engineering teams
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS in production environments
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK preferred)
- Solid background with CI/CD practices and tooling (ideally AWS-native)
- Experience with Datadog and AWS CloudWatch/native monitoring tools
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to influence at both technical and business levels
- A coaching mindset, with a passion for developing people and teams
You Matter to Us 💚
At IVC Evidensia, we care about your growth, wellbeing, and work-life balance. You\’ll be part of a tech team where your leadership has a direct impact on how we build technology that supports animal health and care.
Enjoy:
- Remote-first working, with flexibility to suit your lifestyle
- The opportunity to shape technology strategy in a rapidly growing organisation
- Ongoing leadership and career development support
- Competitive salary and benefits package
