Are you a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for high-quality patient care and a desire to be part of a supportive, progressive team? We’re looking for an experienced RVN to join our busy, friendly, small animal and exotics practice and make a real difference to the lives of our patients and their owners.
Byre Veterinary Surgery is a modern, well-equipped practice providing outstanding care for small animals and exotics. Our services include surgery, diagnostics, dentistry, preventive care, and specialist treatment – with the added benefit of an exotics specialist and a certificate holder within our team. We pride ourselves on our strong culture of teamwork, excellent client care, and support for ongoing professional development.
This is a full-time position offering a flexible 40-hour rota with no out-of-hours requirements. Your working week will typically include two 8 am–5 pm shifts, two 9 am–7 pm shifts, and a half day each week. Weekends are shared fairly as part of a 1 in 4 Saturday morning rota (8.30 am–12 pm), with time off in lieu for Saturdays worked.
We are seeking an RVN who is confident, proactive, and motivated to deliver the highest standards of nursing care. Ideally, you will have at least 2 years of post-qualification experience and be comfortable with a wide range of responsibilities, including anaesthesia, inpatient care, nurse-led clinics, and client communication. A passion for animal welfare, preventative care, and continuous improvement is essential.
