Unlock Your Passions at Churchfield Vets: Churchfield Vets are based in the glorious rolling Pennines near Penistone South Yorkshire. Not far from the busy city of Sheffield, we are 5 minutes from the M1 motorway yet rural enough to enjoy the relaxation and leisure facilities on our doorstep; the Trans-Pennine trail is nearby with numerous reservoirs and hill walks to enjoy. Churchfield Equine Clinic is a 3.5 FTE equine practice. Although we are part of a mixed brand, the equine clinic has recently rebranded, and all vets at the clinic are exclusively equine. Our facilities include six inpatient stables, a large barn and workup area, theatre and recovery box. We perform our own routine surgeries as needed, supported by experienced anaesthetists; our clinical director holds a certificate in soft tissue surgery. The clinic has recently undergone a period of refurbishment to our lunge arena and trot up facilities as well as our barn, theatre and recovery box. We have ambitious plans to continue to upgrade the clinic further to provide our clients with the best service possible. We have grass paddocks for turnout of inpatients as required.

Enjoy a welcoming environment with structured support and flexibility to suit your lifestyle. We work a 40-hour 4.5 day week with a fixed paid half day off in lieu of a weeknight on call. OOH rota is 1:8 weekend and 1:8 weeknights supported by Equicall, this reduces to 1:4 occasionally to provide inpatient cover on Equicall nights but this is rare. Working hours are typically 9-5, this can occasionally be a later finish in the busy summer months. We give one day back as TOIL for working a weekend on call to be taken when desired.

Support will be provided by three highly experienced vets, all with experience of working at hospital/referral level, one certificate holder with 18 years' experience, one 5-year qualified vet and a 3-year qualified vet who has completed an internship.
