We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Begbroke Vet Surgery on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.
Begbroke Vet Surgery is a small animal clinic situated in Begbroke, just outside North Oxford and close to Woodstock.
You’ll be joining a friendly and supportive team made up of four Veterinary Surgeons, two Registered Veterinary Nurses, one Animal Nursing Assistant and one Receptionist.
Our clinic is well-equipped with an in-house laboratory, x-ray, dental equipment including dental x-ray, theatre with diathermy, and multiparameter monitoring.
We also have dedicated nurse consulting hours, giving our nursing team the opportunity to build strong client relationships and support preventative healthcare.

- How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.
You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.
- Working Pattern
- 40 hours per week
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 8:30am to 6:30pm, 30-minute unpaid lunch break
- 1 in 2 Saturday mornings, 9:00am to 1:00pm
- No out-of-hours requirements

- Deliver high standards of nursing care across a varied first opinion caseload
- Support surgical and dental procedures, including anaesthesia monitoring and theatre nursing
- Run nurse consultations and support preventative healthcare
