Are you a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon looking to be part of a dynamic team in Aberdeenshire? At Mintlaw Vets, we are excited to welcome applications for an experienced vet who is confident in both consulting and surgery, ready to take on a varied first opinion small animal caseload that will allow you to utilise and develop in both consulting and surgery skills. A keen interest in surgery would be invaluable, as you will participate in general surgery, including dentistry.

One dedicated ops day each week will allow you to immerse yourself in surgical excellence, with opportunities for more if desired. We are happy to support and nurture your specific surgical interests. Embrace a rewarding balance. This is a part-time role working 25 hours per week over 3 days (8:30am - 7:30pm) to help you shape a schedule that fits around your lifestyle. Joining our team means contributing to a rotating 1:5 Saturday working 8.30am-1pm with no out-of-hours commitment.

Mintlaw Vets is a bustling single-site practice situated in Aberdeenshire. Our purpose-built premises house a vibrant and forward-thinking team that values collaboration. With a focus on continuous improvement, we hold RCVS Accreditation, VetGDP, VN Training Practice status, and ISFM Cat-Friendly Clinic Accreditation.

Within our well-equipped facility, you will find a light and spacious waiting room, four consulting rooms (including a dedicated nurse consultation room), a surgical operating theatre, and a radiography/dentistry suite housing up-to-date equipment. Our in-house lab is equipped with Idexx analysers and a microscope, while our cutting-edge tools include ultrasound, therapeutic laser, endoscopy, and dental radiography with very modern dental equipment.

As a member of our 5 strong Vet team, you will collaborate closely and be supported by our 6 Registered Veterinary Nurses, student nurses, and VCAs. Our clinical excellence is reinforced by a diligent reception and management team.
