We are seeking a skilled and experienced Finance Master Data Manager to join the Transformation Programme team. The role will manage a UK‑based Finance MDM team and a Customer & Supplier MDM team split across the UK and India. The team has been recently established ahead of the first Oracle transition for UK & Ireland, and will embed BAU practices.
This role is initially being offered on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract basis.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities
- Managing and leading the MDM team: prioritise workload and be the main point of contact for the team within the ERP project.
- Master Data Migration and Integration: plan, execute, and monitor master‑data migration activities in parallel with the SI partner, ensuring a seamless transition from legacy systems to the new finance system; develop and implement data integration strategies to support interoperability between the finance system and other internal and external systems.
- Master Data Strategy, Governance and Architecture: refine and improve a comprehensive master‑data strategy for the Finance transformation programme, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and completeness.
- Refine and enforce master‑data governance policies, standards, and best practices to maintain data quality and consistency across the organization.
- Master Data Quality and Validation: implement data quality management processes and tools to identify, assess, and remediate data quality issues.
- Develop and execute master‑data validation plans to ensure the accuracy and consistency of data in the Finance system; collaborate with business users to establish data quality metrics and KPIs.
- Work with the analytics teams to create solutions that support data‑driven decision‑making.
- Provide data insights and recommendations to support continuous improvement of business processes and system performance.
Experience / Qualifications
- Significant experience in data management in a mature MDM environment, with a focus on Oracle finance systems, preferably in a global transformation programme context.
- Experience in establishing and maintaining data governance.
- Entrepreneurial approach.
- Proven experience in data migration, integration, and quality management.
- Proficiency in Oracle data tools.
- Strong project‑management skills and experience in managing cross‑functional teams.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of finance data, Oracle tables and processes – P2P, O2C, R2R, (AP/AR, Fixed Assets, Projects, etc).
