We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-oriented Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Thanet Vets on a full-time basis. We have a varied level of experience, and we can accept a newly qualified nurse. Thanet Vets has been a cornerstone of the Southeast coast community for over 60 years, providing exceptional care to pets and their owners.
Our main branch in Margate, along with our satellite consulting branch in Birchington, offers a range of services including digital radiography, ultrasound, in-house laboratory, endoscopy, and bronchoscopy. We are proud to be a well‑equipped practice dedicated to delivering high‑quality care to our patients. Beyond our professional duties, we value team camaraderie and socialise outside of work, fostering a supportive and collaborative culture. We are a close‑knit team of veterinary professionals, consisting of 5.5 vets and 7 RVNs with a range of experience levels. We will soon be welcoming a Student Nurse to the team. In addition, we have 7.5 support team members, including a Director of Practice who is also one of our RVNs. With certificate holders in Anaesthesia and Analgesia, and ongoing pursuit of further qualifications in diagnostic imaging, soft tissue surgery, and ophthalmology, our team is committed to excellence and continuous learning.
We are offering a full‑time position working 40 hours per week over 4 days, from 7:30 am until 8 pm, with 1:4 Saturday mornings 8 am to 2 pm (with a view to change to 1:5 Saturday mornings) and no OOH.
How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high‑quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first‑opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.
