We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-oriented Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Wigmore Vets on a full-time basis. Wigmore Vets is located in a lovely residential area in Wigmore, Rainham, Kent. We are well established in the area and have a large, loyal client base to prove it. The practice is very busy, with something to keep you on your toes every day. Due to the practice’s busy nature, we also offer excellent clinical exposure. The surgery is well-equipped, including an in-house blood machine and digital X-ray machines.

Our amazing team of 2 Vets, 11 RVNs, 1 Kennel Assistant and 5 Receptionists are the foundation of our practice. How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first-opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice. You will work 4 days across Monday-Friday, between 8:30 am and 6:30 pm, you will also be on the Saturday morning rota covering 2/4 between 8:30 am and 12 pm.

General Responsibilities Include:

  • Assisting with surgeries and anaesthesia
  • Ultrasounds, X-ray
  • Lab work
  • Dental care
  • Inpatient care
  • Client communication
  • Triage - working under the instruction of a vet, contacting clients, working on the emergency line, medications and follow-up consults, blood results and reporting
