We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Wood Street Vets on a part-time basis. You will be expected to work across all 5 of our branches in Barnet, Cockfosters, Enfield, Holders Hill and Radlett which keeps the job exciting and interesting while mixing with all our teams.

Wood Street Veterinary Hospital is a busy, 24-hour RCVS-accredited Tier 3 hospital, offering gold-standard patient care in a well-equipped environment. We deal with a wide variety of cases from ECC to orthopaedic surgeries and we are ISFM standard cat friendly and rabbit friendly certified practice.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction. You'll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

This is a part time, permanent role, working 28 hours a week. It will include 8hr shifts to cover opening hours 8am - 9pm, across all sites and 1 in 3 Saturdays.

General Responsibilities Include

  • Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanour
  • Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar
  • Answer phone calls and respond to client inquiries
  • Check-in and check-out clients, ensuring accurate record-keeping
  • Collect payments and process invoices
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the reception area
  • Assist with filing, data entry, and other administrative tasks as needed
