About Us

IVC Evidensia is the UK and Europe’s leading veterinary care group, made up of over 900 practices and referral hospitals, united by a shared purpose of happier animals, happier owners. At IVC Evidensia, we believe careers should be built without limits. Our people are supported to make more impact, access more career opportunities, and play an active role in their local and professional communities. Through investment in learning, innovation, and wellbeing, we create environments where our teams can grow in confidence, capability, and fulfilment—at every stage of their career.

As part of Central Functions, you will be part of the teams that support and enable our network of over 2,500 practices across 20 countries, driving operational excellence, innovation, and strategic impact across the business. Our Technology teams are responsible for the systems and infrastructure that make that work—everything our healthcare professionals need to deliver world-class care.

We’re looking for an experienced veterinary practice professional who is passionate about supporting others, improving ways of working, and helping teams get the best from their systems. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong operational and systems knowledge who enjoys coaching colleagues, delivering training, and driving consistency across multiple sites. The role is focused on people, processes, and practical support — not technical IT troubleshooting.

About The Role

As an IT Systems Trainer, you’ll support veterinary practices and support teams to use key systems confidently, consistently, and effectively. You’ll deliver engaging virtual training, provide guidance on best practice workflows, and support practices through system changes and migrations. You’ll work closely with Client Care teams, Clinical teams, and Practice Managers to ensure systems are being used in a way that enhances patient care, client experience, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver virtual 1-to-1 and group training sessions to practice and support office colleagues
  • Facilitate live webinars across key systems including Merlin, Dayforce, Online Office, and Concur
  • Tailor training to different audiences including Client Care Teams, Clinical Teams, and Practice Managers
  • Provide 2nd line support for Merlin process and usage queries
  • Coach colleagues on best practice system usage and support adoption of standardised processes

Content Creation & Learning Materials

  • Create and maintain engaging learning resources including Quick Reference Guides, Webinar storyboards, and Training videos
  • Ensure all training materials reflect real-world practice workflows and operational best practice

Change & Project Support

  • Support Merlin migrations and site mergers before, during, and after implementation
  • Assist with the rollout of new system functionality and process improvements
  • Provide Go‑Live and Post Go‑Live support, including Hypercare
  • Help practices adapt positively to change and confidently challenge non‑standard system usage where required

About You

We’re looking for someone with hands‑on experience within a veterinary practice environment who understands the realities of day‑to‑day operations.

You Will Ideally Have

  • Strong operational experience within veterinary practice settings
  • Practical knowledge of systems such as Merlin, Dayforce, Online Office, and Concur
  • A strong understanding of practice procedures and workflows
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills
  • Experience delivering training in virtual 1-to-1, group, or webinar settings
  • The ability to explain systems clearly to colleagues with varying levels of confidence and experience
  • A pragmatic, organised, and solutions-focused approach
  • Experience supporting change and managing resistance positively within busy environments
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight timelines

Who This Role Would Suit

  • Senior Client Care Advisors
  • Senior Veterinary Nurses
  • Practice Managers
  • Experienced practice colleagues who are known as "go-to" system users and informal coaches within their teams

Previous formal IT or training experience is helpful but not essential. What matters most is strong practical systems knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for helping people succeed.

What You’ll Bring

  • A people-first approach with patience and empathy
  • Confidence working independently and managing your own workload
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • A positive attitude towards change and continuous improvement
  • The confidence to reinforce best practice and challenge poor habits constructively

If you enjoy supporting others, improving operational standards, and making a real impact across multiple practices, we’d love to hear from you.
