Easipetcare Derby, part of IVC, is seeking a dynamic Clinical Director to clinically lead our practice. You’ll oversee the daily operations of the Derby practice, driving top-tier care for clients and their pets, and work with the management team to grow the practice, team and services.
About You and Your Responsibilities
Whether you’re an experienced practitioner or an ambitious vet ready to take the next step, we want to hear from you. The successful candidate will be required to clinically lead the Derby practice with enthusiasm and dedication, while providing a high standard of veterinary care with a focus on consultations and surgery. You will work closely with our existing vet and a great team of nurses and receptionists to maintain protocols and excellence in patient care. We’re looking for a motivated and driven Veterinary Surgeon who shares our passion for delivering outstanding veterinary care. The ideal candidate will be RCVS registered and possess a strong background in small animal medicine and surgery.

Rota and Schedule
Normal working week: 40 hours with Saturday morning shifts on a rota (with time off in lieu). No OOH or on-call requirements. Flexible rota patterns to support work-life balance; discussions welcomed to accommodate personal needs (e.g., school pickups, school holidays, reduced hours).
About Us
You will become part of a friendly and supportive team at Easipetcare Derby, including 4 receptionists, 5 nurses and 1 veterinary surgeon. The practice is equipped to deliver great patient and client care with facilities such as separate dog and cat waiting areas, multiple consult rooms, in-house diagnostics, theatre, prep room, x-ray and ultrasound, and an on-site laboratory. Derby is a large, accessible practice close to local amenities and the Peak District National Park, with good transport links and parking. We work with Street Vet and collect and donate unused pet food. We are committed to supporting our people with a competitive package and a strong focus on wellbeing, development and inclusion.
