Salary up to £75,000 DOE, welcome bonus up to £5,000, relocation allowance up to £8,000 plus Elevate Bonus – 20% of salary paid in month 6, 10% in month 12 + benefits.

This is a rare opportunity to lead the clinical team at Steffan Vets in West Wales, alongside the Practice Director. The practice is located in a beautiful part of West Wales with access to countryside and coast. This role combines clinical leadership with hands-on veterinary work and staff development within a supportive team including a Director of Practice, two experienced Veterinary Surgeons, a Head RVN, Registered Veterinary Nurses, Student Veterinary Nurses, Animal Care Assistants and a dedicated Client Care Team.
This position involves approximately 75% time on clinical caseloads while taking on leadership responsibilities such as mentoring colleagues, supporting clinical standards and driving practice growth.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support the clinical team alongside the Practice Director
- Deliver high-quality patient care across consultations and surgery
- Mentor and support less experienced Veterinary Surgeons through case discussions and clinical development
- Help drive clinical standards, team engagement and a positive practice culture
- Contribute to business performance, operational success and sustainable practice growth
Full-time, 37.5 hours per week. Shifts between 8:00am and 7:00pm Monday-Friday on a rota basis. Saturday mornings (8:30am-1:30pm) on a rotational basis.
You Might Be a Great Fit If...- You are an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with strong clinical expertise who enjoys leading others while continuing to deliver exceptional patient care
- RVCS registration (or eligibility) and a veterinary degree
- Experience in clinical practice with confidence in medical and surgical cases
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
- Leadership or mentoring experience with a passion for supporting and developing others
