The Junior Payroll & Pension Administrator role supports payroll deduction processes and pension scheme management. This position collaborates with Group Finance to resolve payroll and PAYE balance sheet queries and handles communications from Head Office employees and pension scheme members.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with Group Finance regarding payroll deduction, pension control and PAYE balance sheet queries
- Manage email and phone queries from Head Office employees and pension scheme members
- Coordinate with the integration team on acquisitions and the timing of adding new pension scheme members
- Maintain the pension administration system and communications with our pension provider (Scottish Widows)
- Send regular communications to pension scheme members
- Ensure the Pension Scheme complies with auto-enrolment legislation and re-enrolment every three years
- Assist with integrating new acquisitions into the pension scheme
- Handle communications with The Pensions Regulator
- Administer employees opting out of the pension scheme
- Carry out pension contribution changes in time for payroll deadlines
- Provide pension-related support and respond to employee queries
- Fulfill other duties as directed
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous payroll knowledge is advantageous
- Experience administering a pension scheme
- High accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Excellent IT skills, including strong Excel and numerical skills
- Ability to manage a high-volume workload
- Clear and confident communication skills; good telephone manner
- Proven ability to meet deadlines
- Flexible and team-oriented with a collaborative approach
- Comfortable working in a clinical environment where compassion is a requirement
