We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Hungerford Vets on a full-time basis.
Our practices in Hungerford and Pewsey have long been known for their exceptional quality and dedicated professionals.
The first of our branches in Hungerford was established in 1976 by original owner Pip Pocock, whose commitment to excellence has been maintained to this day.
This strength in our services can be reflected by our status as one of the first veterinary hospitals in the country to receive RCVS accreditation, a seal of quality which we’ve maintained for over 20 years.
We’re a large, 24hr hospital with our own OOH service.
The right candidate will be motivated, enthusiastic and want to join a team of 14 vets and 18 nurses with a wealth of experience and interests.
The hospital has two theatres, x-ray, dental x-ray, endoscopy, ultrasound, therapeutic laser and a host of other equipment.
How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.
You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.
The role includes anaesthesia, theatre work, inpatients, consulting and night shifts on a rota pattern so if you are interested in a varied role that encourages growth and development.
- Working Pattern
- 37.5 hours per week
- 4 days a week with shifts varying but usually 8am-6pm
- On average you will work one night shift every 2 weeks along with 1:10 weekends
