The Oak Veterinary Group is recruiting a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly and progressive team in Pembrokeshire. The Oak Veterinary Group prioritises professional and personal development. Where You’ll Work
Our primary site is in Haverfordwest, with opportunities to rotate through our branches in Fishguard and St David’s—all nestled along the Pembrokeshire coastline. The region offers natural beauty, including coastal paths, beaches, and harbours.
Our Facilities
- Haverfordwest: Surgery, dentistry, in-house lab, ultrasound, radiography, and endoscopy.
- Fishguard: Surgery, Consults. A dedicated rehab centre on this site includes an aquatic treadmill, physiotherapy, acupuncture, laser & massage therapy, internal lab, and surgical suite.
Our Team
You’ll join a talented and supportive group of:
- 1 Head Vet
- 5 Vets (including an Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery and an Exotics Cert holder)
- 4 RVNs & 4 SVNs
- Practice Manager, Reception Coordinator & Support Team
We regularly perform advanced soft tissue and orthopaedic surgeries in-house, offer acupuncture, and support ongoing development—including via the IVC Evidensia Graduate Scheme.
Rota & Flexibility
We offer genuine flexibility with patterns to suit your lifestyle—full-time, part-time, or job share all considered.
Hours: 8:30am–7:00pm weekdays with up to an hour lunch break. Saturdays: 8:30am–1:30pm on rota. OOH: External provider, with some inpatient care support as needed.
