We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our team on a part-time basis, working 24 hours per week. The role includes carrying out consultations, surgeries and diagnostics, with time for admin on a daily basis.
Rota and Work-Life Balance
Rota patterns that work for you. We are flexible with hours and working patterns to support work-life balance. Our vets share a Saturday rota (mornings only) of 1 in 3, for which they receive time off in lieu the following week. There are no out-of-hours.
Practice Details
Bishops Veterinary Surgery is a single-site practice in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, in a bright building with generous consultation rooms. Facilities include digital x-ray (including dental x-ray), ultrasonography, tonometry, non-invasive blood pressure measurement and a multiparameter monitor with capnography. Onsite parking is available. The practice is close to local amenities and transport links including the M25 and A1.

Our team includes Veterinary Surgeons, Registered Veterinary Nurses, a Student Veterinary Nurse, Receptionists and a Practice Manager. We value a friendly, approachable environment and good case continuity, enabling tailored care for pets and their families. A visiting osteopath also supports well-rounded care.

- Carry out consultations, surgeries and diagnostic procedures.
- Provide high-quality veterinary care in a small-animal setting.
- Contribute to case continuity and client communication aligned with practice standards.
