DentalVets is a dedicated referral practice specialising in dentistry and oral surgery for dogs, cats, and zoo animals. Our main operating room features three fully equipped bays, each with a heated dental table, dental X-ray machine, processor, and patient monitoring equipment, allowing us to run multiple procedures simultaneously. We also have a dedicated sterile theatre for plating cases. Our growing team includes four vets, one anaesthetist, four RVNs, and three support staff. Based in Haddington, East Lothian, we’re located just a short drive from the coast and within easy reach of Edinburgh. Our patients travel from across Scotland and the north of England. We pride ourselves on being a supportive and welcoming team, and there's usually a friendly competition underway to keep spirits high and make the working day that bit more fun.

How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Dental Referral Nurse, you will deliver advanced nursing care within a specialist referral service, supporting the management of complex cases within dentistry. You’ll work collaboratively within a team, contributing specialist nursing expertise to patient care, supporting clinical decision‑making, and sharing knowledge with colleagues to continually improve standards within your discipline. As an RVN at DentalVets, you’ll be hands‑on with a wide range of advanced procedures. From blood sampling, complex anaesthesia, and dental radiography to charting, scaling and polishing, CBCT operation, and direct assistance during procedures, no two days are the same. Patient care remains at the heart of everything we do. This is a full‑time position working 40 hours per week over 5 days. There are no weekends, on‑call or OOHs with this role, enabling you to enjoy an excellent work‑life balance.
