About Us
Cogges Veterinary surgery is a small animal practice based in Witney, Oxfordshire. Witney is a lovely market town with a wide range of shops, eateries and weekly market all set in an idyllic location. Oxford is a short drive away and beautiful Cotswold villages are right on your doorstep, making Witney a perfect choice to live and work. First opened in May 1993, we have been growing ever since and have built a reputation for being friendly and professional, whilst working hard to form an integral part of the community. We have an experienced team of 7 vets, including certificate holders in Ophthalmology, Internal Medicine and Diagnostic Imaging. We are a very nurse led practice and the whole team work closely together to provide a high standard of clinical care.
How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Primary Care Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload. You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.
Hours of work
Ideally, we’re looking for someone to cover a role that’s between 30 - 40 hours per week, working anything from 3 – 5 days. There’s also 1:6 sole charge weekends that you’ll receive time back in lieu for. We can offer some flexibility in the role, however we do need Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays covering at a minimum.

- A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS

- Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
