How You'll Make An Impact
As a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon you will enjoy a varied first‑opinion caseload across consultations, surgery, diagnostics and ongoing case management. The role offers plenty of clinical variety, with opportunities to work cases up thoroughly and follow them through, supported by experienced colleagues across the wider group. You will be involved in routine medicine and surgery alongside more complex work‑ups, helping to deliver continuity of care and excellent clinical outcomes for both patients and clients. The position is full‑time, working 40 hours per week on a structured rota. The rota includes inpatient responsibilities during evenings and weekends, although the team works hard to ensure a fair and balanced approach that supports a healthy work‑life balance. Part‑time applications may also be considered.

Lawrie Vet Group is a growing, forward‑thinking small animal practice with a strong reputation for delivering excellent patient care and building lasting client relationships. Operating across four sites in Cumbernauld, Falkirk, Laurieston and Bo’ness, we offer the benefits of a larger group whilst maintaining the supportive feel of a close‑knit practice team. You will be joining an experienced and supportive team of Veterinary Surgeons, RVNs and support colleagues who enjoy sharing knowledge, discussing cases and helping one another develop. Across the group there are vets with certificates and advanced clinical interests, creating excellent opportunities for mentorship, case discussion and clinical progression. The nursing team plays an active role in patient care, running nurse clinics and supporting inpatient management, allowing vets to focus on delivering high‑quality clinical care. The practice sees a broad and varied caseload, including occasional exotic species, with dedicated colleagues leading on exotic work‑ups and case management. Modern diagnostic equipment and well‑equipped facilities across all sites ensure the team can work cases up to a high standard while continuing to develop services for clients and patients.
