We are a 2-branch small animal practice based in Crowborough and Tunbridge Wells, comprising 2 Veterinary Surgeons, 4 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Student Veterinary Nurse, and 2 Receptionists. This fantastic opportunity is based across both of our practices.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional, and compassionate experience at every interaction. You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications, and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

Your Duties/responsibilities Will Include

  • Ensure all visitors are greeted professionally and courteously.
  • Prioritize answering phone calls to address client inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Provide excellent customer service in a professional, sympathetic, and courteous manner.
  • Record and follow up on inquiries efficiently.
  • Add new client details into the system and update vaccine/contact information during visits or calls.
  • Verify invoices for accuracy and make necessary adjustments.
  • Secure follow-up appointments to complete treatment plans.
  • Call to reschedule missed appointments.
  • Promote Pet Healthcare Plans and pet insurance.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy reception area.
  • Adhere to all practice and reception policies for excellent client service.

This is a full-time permanent role working 40 hours per week either 4:7 10 hour shifts or 5:7 with 1:4 Saturdays.
