How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice. You’ll work a flexible rota covering 40 hours between 8 am and 8 pm, with a choice of either 5 × 8‑hour shifts or 4 × 10‑hour shifts to suit your lifestyle. You’ll also join a 1:5 weekend rota (two 12‑hour shifts with TOIL), and take part in our bank holiday and Christmas cover, with occasional support across other departments when needed.

General Responsibilities

  • Diagnostic imaging such as CT and radiography
  • Monitoring anaesthesia
  • Supporting patient recovery
  • Preparing patients for theatre
  • Scrubbing in to procedures where required

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
