As a Finance Integration Accountant, you will manage and ensure the smooth financial integration of acquisitions within the IVC Evidensia group in the UK. You will coordinate the connection of new clinics to the European accounting and reporting processes quickly after the acquisition, and you will act as the single point of contact for newly acquired entities.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities
- Serve as the single point of contact for newly acquired entities.
- Deliver the financial integration of acquisitions, including integration of financial and accounting processes and employment (payroll) of the new UK acquisitions.
- Brief vendors and employees to ensure they understand the finance integration process and its impact.
- Liaise with finance and non‑finance teams across the business to answer queries related to newly acquired surgeries/businesses.
- Integrate new acquisitions into the IVCE way of working, including through training.
- Review surgery P&Ls and monthly management accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure comprehensively reconciled balance sheets are prepared each month by the Integration team.
- Handle surgery queries about their results and resolve any process issues.
- Implement new processes, procedures and authorisation structures.
- Track and report integration progress of each new acquisition.
- Ensure SMEs understand their charters and are organised for success.
- Liaise with business support managers and attend initial finance meetings.
- Escalate issues requiring group‑level input for quick resolution.
- Participate in other financial projects or duties that may be reasonably required.
- Document handoffs to BAU leaders at the end of the transition period.
- Capture lessons learned and recommendations for future acquisitions.
- Ad‑hoc support for the Financial Controller and Finance Director.
Experience and Qualifications
- Qualified Accountant.
- Extensive experience in M&A or integration processes at a managerial level.
- Experience working with international teams or businesses.
- Excellent command of English.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with surgeries.
- Strong program management skills.
- Comfortable working in an international environment with senior stakeholders.
- Top‑level MS Office skills.
- Domestic and occasional international travel required.
- Travel throughout the UK is required.
- Desirable: Prior experience training and deploying tools to improve M&A/integration.
