Salary up to £70,000 DOE; Relocation allowance up to £5,000; Welcome bonus up to £3,000. We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team on a full-time basis at our Chesham and Amersham surgeries. This position would involve a four-day week with a weekend rota (Saturdays only). The Wheelhouse has been established for over 50 years and emphasizes clinical excellence and team engagement. With 4 branches and a total of 42 clinical team members (14 Vets and 20 Nurses), we support each other and manage most of the clinical work that walks through the door. We are a first opinion small animal practice located in the picturesque countryside of the Chilterns, surrounded by golf clubs and country parks such as Wendover Woods, Black Park and Langley Park, within easy commute of London. Additional qualification or interest in Endoscopy, Endosurgery or Oncology is preferred but not essential.
How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Primary Care Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work with the practice team to deliver high standard patient and client care across a varied caseload. You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture. We are well equipped with endoscope, laparoscopic bitch spays, ultrasound scanner, DR and CR radiography, Class 4 laser, and 4 consultation rooms. Vets have completed or are undergoing certificates in surgery (including orthopaedics), internal medicine, feline medicine, cardiology, dermatology, ophthalmology and exceptional clinical care (ECC). We actively support several charities each year including StreetVet, Hearing Dogs, Marjorie Nash Cat Rescue, and Macmillan Cancer Support.
