Eden & Border Vets | Full-time 36 hours per week | £40,435–£43,000 DOE + £4,800 annual on-call supplement
Eden & Border Vets is looking for an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and supportive team. This role would suit an experienced and confident vet who is looking to continue developing their clinical skills within a practice where they’ll be well supported, while maintaining a good balance between work and life outside the practice.
You’ll have the opportunity to build on your existing experience, develop your clinical interests and become an important part of a growing team, with plenty of support around you as you continue to progress.
What You’ll Be Stepping Into
This is a 36-hour per week role with a varied small animal clinical caseload. You’ll be part of the day-to-day clinical team, building strong relationships with clients and patients while having the support and experience of colleagues around you. The on-call commitment is one weeknight and one in four weekends, including Saturday morning surgery.
We’re looking for someone who is confident working as a small animal vet, enjoys a varied caseload and is keen to continue developing their clinical skills. Whether you already have particular areas of interest or are still working out where you’d like your career to take you, there’s scope to develop these within the practice.
The Team & Facilities
You’ll be joining a supportive and growing team that places both high-quality clinical care and its people at the heart of the practice. You’ll have experienced colleagues around you and a culture where vets can ask questions, share knowledge and continue developing their skills.
The practice is based in a new purpose-designed facility, providing a modern environment in which to work and deliver patient care. Alongside the facilities, the team is focused on creating a positive working environment where collaboration and clinical development are encouraged.
Location & Culture
Eden & Border Vets offers the opportunity to become part of a growing practice where you can make a real contribution to the team and its continued development. We’re looking for someone who is confident, compassionate and enjoys working closely with both clients and colleagues, with the enthusiasm to play an active role in the practice.
The role also offers a good balance outside of work, with a 36-hour working week and a clearly defined on-call commitment. It could be a great fit for an experienced small animal vet looking for their next step in a supportive environment where they can continue to develop without losing sight of life outside the practice.
If you’re looking for a role where you can develop your clinical skills, build strong client relationships and be part of a genuinely supportive team, we’d love to hear from you.
