Responsibilities
- Conduct consultations and perform surgical procedures, with the opportunity to work up your own cases.
- Manage occasional sole charge with minimal requirements.
- Contribute to in-house inpatient care (nurse-led overnight care; vets participate in a 1:6/7 rota).
- Engage in preventative health care and maintain case continuity with clients and patients.
Schedule and pattern
- Varying shifts between 8:00 and 19:30.
- 1:4 weekends, with time off in the week in lieu.
- No out-of-hours (OOH) duties for this role.
About the Practice
Oakmount are a first opinion, small animal practice with a referral Exotics department. Facilities include 5 consulting rooms, 3 theatres, digital x-ray (vertical and horizontal beam), dental x-ray, ultrasound, in-house blood machines, and standard equipment.
About the Team
The team comprises 8 vets (2 clinical directors), a practice director, 10 RVNs, 3 SVNs, 2 VCAs, and a support team of 6. It is an SVN training practice with a wealth of knowledge and experience, including 3 certificate holders. Development is encouraged and certificates are funded.
