Cootes Veterinary Clinic is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic RVN to join our friendly, long-established team on a part-time basis.
A Place to Grow
We are seeking a proactive and positive Registered Veterinary Nurse who enjoys variety and hands-on work. Your role will include:
- Theatre and surgical support
- Inpatient care
- Lab work
- Nurse-led consultations
You will also have the chance to develop your own nurse clinics; we currently run puppy parties and weight clinics, and are always happy to support new ideas. You will work closely with our two experienced vets and the wider clinical support team, gaining experience across a broad caseload, including a notable number of exotic patients.

Cootes Veterinary Clinic is a proud first-opinion practice with a loyal client base and a real community feel. Our recently refurbished building provides a bright, spacious and practical working environment, including a large kennel area and well-equipped clinical spaces.

We are based in a semi-rural location with on-site parking, good access to Brighton, and the South Downs on our doorstep. We work closely with our dedicated Out of Hours provider and aim to keep cases in-house wherever possible. Visiting specialists for scanning and endoscopy also support ongoing team learning and development.
We are proud of our strong client relationships and excellent preventive healthcare uptake, and we love engaging with the local community, from hosting our annual dog show to securing back-to-back community grant awards.
Working Pattern
This is a part-time role, working Mondays and Tuesdays, 10:30am–7:00pm, averaging 16 hours per week.
