The Group Treasury function is actively engaged in several high-impact strategic initiatives. These include the development of increased controls and governance across the Treasury function improving processes and procedures, standardisation of controls with increased governance and risk and financial management.

Reporting to the Treasury Manager - Settlements, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a significantly improved Treasury function to the Group as well as maintaining the business-as-usual processes to ensure the smooth running of the team to support over 2,500 veterinary practices across multiple countries. This role is being offered on a 10-month fixed term contract basis.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities

  • Confirming the details (i.e. value, currency, interest and/or forex rate, settlement date, etc.) and timely settlement of all Treasury initiated trades and transactions in a timely manner.
  • Timely processing and settlement of all exceptional payments (as defined in the Exceptional Payments Policy), including payroll related exceptional payments.
  • Ensuring all payment details are correct and complete and that the optimum payment type is used.
  • Assisting the businesses DDs/SO’s requirements, including set up and recording in the Group’s DD/SO database.
  • Performing required reviews in order to ensure all initiated payments have moved as expected.
  • Attending and supporting regular IVCE bank service reviews.
  • Supporting the review and improvement of the existing manual payment processes undertaken.
  • Ensuring all payment regulations, such as ISO20022, are implemented in a timely manner.
  • Set up, maintaining and reviewing payment templates.
  • Ensuring new bank accounts set up by the Bank Engagement team are recorded correctly for settlement.
  • Support and provide cover to other members of the Settlements/Back Office.
  • Be a team player delivering best practice.
  • Any other treasury and exceptional payment related project delivery related tasks or objectives as required.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a treasury or a banking/payments environment.
  • Good communication (verbal and written) and stakeholder management skills.
  • A good understanding of payment processing in the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe.
  • Ability to be part of team delivering a project plan as well as managing associated risks, issues and decisions impacting the project required.
  • Focused on delivery and able to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical mindset and confidence to challenge senior colleagues.
  • Good level of Excel knowledge along with Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience of working within an international organisation.
  • Experience of working with banking portals along with knowledge of Kyriba (IVCE’s treasury management system) would be an advantage.
