As a Medicine Nurse at Swift Referrals, you will play an integral role in our mission to provide outstanding patient care. You will work closely with our clinical team to support and enhance our referral services, which include Internal Medicine, Oncology, and Advanced Imaging. Your responsibilities will span from patient admission to discharge, ensuring the highest standard of care throughout the entire patient journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Imaging and preparation for medical procedures
  • Anesthesia monitoring
  • Ward care, including complex cases
  • Lab diagnostics
  • Rehabilitation
  • Client support
  • Assist across different disciplines and help with emergencies when needed

Swift Referrals is purpose-built to meet the highest industry standards. Our multidisciplinary referral hospital provides world‑class veterinary care under one roof, specialising in orthopaedics, neurology, internal medicine, and soft tissue surgery. Our facilities include a 1.5T Siemens MRI scanner, 128 Slice GE CT scanner, Doppler ultrasound, endoscopy, arthroscopy, state‑of‑the‑art operating theatres, and separate wards for dogs and cats. We also have a dedicated Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) unit with a large ICU for our critically ill patients.

Qualifications:

We welcome applications from RVNs of all experience levels and backgrounds. We recruit based on attitude and aptitude, offering full training and support for new team members.

Working Hours:

This is a full‑time role, with a 40‑hour work week spread over 4 days. There is a 1:4 weekend rota, with time off in lieu. While we have a dedicated out‑of‑hours team, you may occasionally be asked to assist with holiday or sickness cover if needed.

Compensation: Up to £37,315 DOE
