Unlock Your Passions at Kernow Veterinary Group: Kernow Veterinary Group is based in beautiful mid-Cornwall, giving you access to an incredible range of leisure activities right on your doorstep. We're a sociable, outdoorsy team who love making the most of everything Cornwall has to offer - from riding, cycling and running to surfing, rowing, and exploring the stunning coastline and moors. Despite our rural feel, transport links by road, rail and air are all very good. We are part of the VetGDP scheme and an RVN training centre, and we have an active Cornwall Veterinary Association (a BVA division), including a friendly Young Vet Network.

With five small-animal branches, you'll eventually work across all of them on a rota once you feel confident - and you'll be well supported at every site. We have a fantastic, experienced team made up of around 20 vets and 35 RVNs, supported by an equally brilliant support staff who have a long track record of helping new graduates thrive. Among our clinicians we have certificate holders in Ophthalmology, Emergency Medicine, Dermatology and Behaviour, so there's always someone knowledgeable to turn to when you need advice or want to learn something new.

Our well-equipped practice includes digital X-ray, endoscopy, dental X-ray, ultrasound, full surgical facilities and a comprehensive in-house laboratory. We also have 24-hour on-site nursing to support our OOH service. Our branches are Cat Friendly, Dog Friendly, and RCVS-accredited as GP practices, helping us provide high-quality, compassionate care for all our patients. Enjoy a welcoming environment with structured support and flexibility to suit your lifestyle.

You’ll work 37.5 hours per week over four days, Monday to Friday, giving you a great work-life balance. You’ll also take part in our out-of-hours rota, including one weekend in ten and one weeknight in five for in-patient care. All out-of-hours shifts are fully supported, so you’ll always have guidance and backup when needed.
