Birch Veterinary Centre - Clinical Lead Veterinary Surgeon role at IVC Evidensia. Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract with the opportunity to stay on in a permanent role after maternity leave.
Overview
An exciting opportunity for a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join a busy first opinion three-practice group. The role is a mix of consulting and operating/procedures with a diverse client base that includes many insured clients and a wide range of medical and surgical cases. We work closely with local charities and partners.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and inspire the vet team; provide coaching and development support
- Cover a mix of consulting and surgical procedures, including soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery
- Support day-to-day practice management and clinical governance in collaboration with the existing team
- Maintain high standards of patient care and client communication
Rota and Working Pattern
Typical full-time role is 40 hours per week with a weekend rota of 1:3 (9am-1pm/9am-2pm). We offer flexibility to finish early on certain days and can consider reduced hours to suit individual needs.
About Us and Location
Oxton-based practice with over 100 years of veterinary history, featuring 4 consult rooms, 2 theatres, a dental suite with dental radiography, digital radiography, Vet CT, in-house lab, Idexx Lasercyte catalyst, and comprehensive monitoring and surgical equipment. Two additional smaller consulting sites are available. The Wirral Peninsula offers a high quality of life with access to outdoor activities and easy travel to Liverpool.
Team and Facilities
Join an experienced and supportive team of 6 Vets, 5 RVNs and 7 support staff. A strong practice management structure is in place with coaching and mentoring available. Certificates in medicine and surgery are held by team members, with opportunities for further development through the IVC Evidensia Academy.
