Veterinary Surgeon - Small Animal at IVC Evidensia. Salary up to £65,000 DOE, Welcome Bonus up to £3,000 and up to £3,000 relocation allowance. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon ready to take the next step in their career, joining Cedar Grove, a purpose-built, RCVS-accredited hospital with a collaborative, supportive team.
Location: South Belfast area. The role offers genuine flexibility around rotas and working hours, with a standard full-time pattern of four days per week, variable hours, and 1:6 weekends; out-of-hours are covered by Vets Now. Whether full- or part-time, we aim to fit around your lifestyle.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality small animal veterinary care across a broad caseload, including support for advanced soft tissue, orthopaedics, neurology, oncology, and emergency cases.
- Engage in case discussions and contribute to the development of clinical standards.
- Mentor colleagues and support the ongoing learning culture within the team.
- Develop and pursue areas of clinical interest, including potential referral pathways (orthopaedics or neurology) as the practice grows this side of the business.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Senior Veterinary Surgeon with demonstrated experience in small animal practice.
- Interest in ongoing professional development and potential certificates; willingness to contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Team and Environment
You’ll join a dynamic team of nine Veterinary Surgeons, supported by 14 RVNs and 12 support staff. The team includes certificate holders and advanced learners, plus a visiting cardiology specialist, fostering a culture of collaboration and shared learning.
