Glenburn Vets is a 3 site first opinion practice with clinics in Crumlin, Glengormley and Lisburn. We have an experienced team of 7 vets, 4 RVNs, 3 SVNs and 11 support team members. We are a well-equipped practice with ultrasound, digital radiography, fluid pumps, multiparameter patient monitors, and more.
How You'll Make a Difference:
As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional, and compassionate experience at every interaction. You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications, and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.
Your Duties Will Include:
- Perform administrative and reception duties to include booking, cancelling and changing appointments.
- Receiving cash/card payments.
- Handle insurance claims and instalment queries.
- Deal with cash exchanges and end of day banking procedures.
- Attend reception team meetings as and when requested.
- Dispense medications/prescriptions.
- Keep client/patient records up to date.
- Check clinic emails and process appropriately.
- Liaise with charities regarding collection boxes.
- Ensure all daily paperwork completed (lab reports, consent forms, vaccination paperwork etc.).
- Client information and all counter sale products are well stocked and clean.
- Maintain stock levels on a daily basis.
- Keep puppy/new client packs made up and in stock.
- Ensure change available in till for next working day.
- Deal with and organise incoming and outgoing post.
- Ensure that all visitors to the practice are met in a professional, friendly and courteous manner at all times.
- Answering telephone calls and ensuring that all client enquiries are dealt with promptly and professionally.
- Actively promote Pet Healthcare Plans and pet insurance.
- Keep the reception area clean and tidy at all times.
This is a part-time permanent role working 25 hours per week Monday-Friday, 5 hours per day.
