Our RCVS‑accredited Tier 3 Veterinary Hospital is expanding and seeking a passionate Animal Nursing Assistant to join a team of 15 Veterinary Surgeons, 14 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 5 Student Registered Nurses, and 5 fellow ANAs. The role supports a high‑standard veterinary practice in a state‑of‑the‑art facility.
How You’ll Make a Difference
- The role supports the clinical team to deliver high standards of patient and client care and ensures a safe practice environment.
- Assist the nursing team with surgical set‑up.
- Hold patients for vets/nurses during procedures.
- Clean clinical areas and maintain equipment.
- Restock supplies and organize inventory.
- Prepare sterile equipment and theatre attire; handle laundry.
- Manage cats in the Radioactive Iodine Unit (Full training provided).
- Cover shifts on reception and in the Boarding Cattery.
Qualifications and Experience
- Reliable, motivated, team‑player with a genuine interest in animal welfare.
- Good communication skills, works collaboratively with colleagues and clients.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage tasks in a busy environment.
- Proactive attitude to learning, openness to feedback and development.
- Experience working with animals in a clinical or non‑clinical setting is advantageous.
