We’re looking for a Veterinary Receptionist to join our friendly, welcoming team. Reception is the heart of our practice — it’s busy, fast‑paced and varied, and no two days are the same. You’ll be the first point of contact for our clients and pets, helping keep the practice running smoothly with warmth, professionalism and excellent organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phones promptly and professionally, handling enquiries with empathy and care
  • Book, manage and optimise appointment diaries
  • Welcome clients and support them throughout their visit
  • Take payments, ensure invoices are correct and manage end‑of‑day tasks
  • Keep client and patient records accurate and up to date
  • Follow up missed appointments, reminders and call‑backs
  • Promote practice services, healthcare plans and insurance
  • Support the clinical team with clear communication and accurate information
  • Maintain a clean, organised and welcoming reception area

You’ll be trusted to work efficiently, communicate clearly and provide outstanding client care in a high‑energy reception setting.

Your shift pattern

You will work 37.5 hours per week, with shifts between 8 am – 7 pm (8 am – 4:30 pm or 10:30 am – 7 pm). You will also be included in our 1:4 Saturday morning rota.
