Job Description
Up to £65,000 (DOE) & relocation support of up to £5000
An opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our fantastic team at DeMontfort Veterinary Hospital on a permanent basis. This role would be perfect for someone with a surgical bias, so we’d love to hear from you if that’s something that would be appealing to you.
Flexible working that offers real flex
We're all about helping you find the right balance between work and life. We understand life is about more than just work, we're here to make it simple for you to discover a balance that suits you. Whether you prefer a fixed rota or something more flexible, we're here to create the perfect solution just for you. Ideally, we’re looking for someone to join us on a full time basis. This would require you to work 40 hours per week, either over a 4 or 5 day week (depending on your preference), along with 1:4 Saturdays (08:30 – 13:00). There’s also the 1:4 on- call rota for our inpatients, but this is typically very quiet.
Who are we?
We are a friendly, progressive, RCVS-accredited practice located in the growing market town of Evesham. Surrounded by beautiful countryside perfect for walking and cycling, we are just a 30-minute drive from both Cheltenham and Worcester, and only 90 minutes from London by train. We are also a Veterinary Nurse training centre, an ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic (Gold Award), and an RWAF Clinic (Silver Award). Our team consists of 4 FTE vets, 7.5 FTE RVNs, and 1 SVN. In addition to our clinical staff, we have an outstanding support team who play a vital role in helping us maintain the highest standards of care. The clinical team brings together a diverse range of certificate holders and areas of special interest, including medicine, dentistry, ECC, surgery, feline nursing, and behavioural work. At DeMontfort, you can expect all the equipment and technology you'd find in a modern hospital — including digital X-ray, dental X-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, and IDEXX analysers, to name just a few.
Don’t take our word for it here’s what the team have to say:
"I started at de Montfort Vets as a Trainee Veterinary Nurse. I was welcomed into the team and over the years (nearly 20!) I have progressed in my career. I am very proud of the high standards of care we offer and how the team all work together to ensure we are doing the very best for our patients. Now I have a young family and the practice have been very supportive with my hours and shifts to allow me to maintain a workable routine and a good work/life balance. I am looking forward to many more happy years with my team of wonderful colleagues.” Jenny, Deputy Head Nurse
