An exciting new opportunity at Easipetcare Derby for a full time maternity cover Veterinary Receptionist (fixed term contract for 12 months) to come on board and join our team!
The Part You’ll Play
At our veterinary clinic, we provide comprehensive pet care services. As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations at the front desk. You will be responsible for:
- Greeting clients and their pets with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Scheduling appointments and managing the appointment calendar
- Answering phone calls, emails, and other inquiries from clients
- Collecting and updating client information in the computer system
- Medication handling
- Assisting with filing and organising paperwork
- Processing payments for services rendered, end of day banking
About Us
Easipetcare Derby is a well-established practice with a large client base. It has great facilities including 4 consult rooms, a separate cattery, kennel and isolation ward, x-ray and ultrasound, theatre and prep room with an in-house laboratory. The practice is situated close to local amenities and is easily accessible with free car parking. It has excellent transport links, including the A52 and M1, and is a 30-minute walk from the train station where you can get a direct train to London. You will work alongside, and be supported by a great team of vets, nurses and support staff in this fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for working with animals and their owners
- Able to work well within a team and independently
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively
- Knowledge of basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office)
This is a full time role working 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, covering shifts between 8am-6:30pm. We also require Saturday morning working 9am-12:30pm on a rota basis with TOIL, and bank holiday cover.
