At Glenbrae Veterinary Clinic in Bearsden, we are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our team and deliver exceptional clinical care to our patients. As a valued member of our team, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care while supporting the wider veterinary team.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve managing a varied caseload, spanning both medical and surgical cases. We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual, passionate about supporting the growth and development of our younger team members. If you\’re someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is confident working within a smaller team, including some sole charge at our branch clinics, we would love to hear from you.
Fix or Flex
We’re passionate about supporting our team’s well-being, which is why we offer flexible rota patterns and working hours designed to suit your lifestyle—whether you\’re looking for full or part-time work, or are at any stage in your veterinary career.
We can offer up to 28 hours per week, but we’re equally happy to accommodate part-time arrangements. Our weekday shifts typically run from 8:30am to 8:00pm on Mondays, and 8:30am to 7:00pm Tuesday to Friday. Our Saturday rota is just 1 in 3, with time off during the week to ensure a fair balance.

Glenbrae has been established since 1990 and we are a busy 3-site practice with Tier 2 RCVS accreditation. We became part of the IVC Evidensia family in 2019 which has helped us by providing many opportunities for clinical excellence and development within our teams. Our mission is to provide outstanding conventional and holistic care from a local friendly and caring team.
Our services include laparoscopy, dental radiography, ultrasonography including specialist input, endoscopy, digital radiography, laser therapy and acupuncture, stem cell therapy and a consultancy homeopathic service.

We are a forward thinking, proactive team who care about our clients, patients, and each other. We actively promote a healthy mindset and wellbeing giving each other support both professionally and personally. Our clinics are situated in Bearsden, Dumbarton and Muirhead allowing us to serve a large area of clients. We are a team of 29, made up of 10 vets, 5 RVNs, 2 SVNs and 8 CCA\’s and other admin support staff. One of our vets holds a certificate in dentistry, while two others are currently working towards certificates in medicine and surgery. We also benefit from the expertise of a visiting homeopathic consultant and a peripatetic ultrasonographer. We currently have multiple vets who either hold or who are working towards post-graduate qualifications. This investment not only supports our vets’ development but also provides us with additional expertise within our clinics.
