Overview
We’re looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our busy, friendly team at our RCVS-accredited Veterinary Centre in Crewkerne, Somerset, on a 12 month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment with excellent facilities and a strong focus on wellbeing and development.
Be Part of a Supportive Team
You’ll be joining a welcoming team of 7.5 vets, 18 nurses, and a dedicated reception team. Our out-of-hours care is provided by a dedicated OOH centre, with the ability to refer critical inpatients when needed.
Excellent Facilities
We’re an RCVS Tier 2 practice across four sites, offering plenty of scope for learning and progression. Our main Crewkerne site is fully equipped with modern ultrasound, endoscopy, digital and dental x-ray, ECG, multi-parameter monitoring, tonometry, and comprehensive in-house lab facilities.
We have separate dog and cat waiting areas and wards, with one practice holding a Silver ISFM award, and a visiting orthopaedic specialist providing opportunities to develop surgical skills.
Working Hours
This is a full-time position, working four days per week from 8:30am–6:30pm, with a 30-minute lunch break. The role also includes one Saturday morning in three, working 8:30am–1:00pm.
