We are seeking a friendly, organised and enthusiastic individual to join our warm, welcoming team in the beautiful countryside of Lingfield. As the first point of contact for our clients and patients, our ideal candidate is accustomed to working well in a team but also able to work individually. We are looking for someone who is empathetic and has the ability to stay calm under pressure.
As a key front-of-house role, you’ll be a reassuring voice over the phone, a friendly face at the desk and an important part of the day-to-day running of the clinic. In a practice that’s set in an idyllic location, no two days are the same here. We have recently had a refurbishment, extending our consulting rooms, updating the waiting room to include a cat area and a lab area. We carry out all first opinion GP procedures, i.e., dental, radiography and operations. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, multitasking and being part of a supportive team that truly cares about their clients and each other.
Responsibilities
- Attending to clients in person or on the telephone with bookings or enquiries
- Seeing through the client journey, from greeting, booking, taking payment and seeing them onwards
- Managing the diary, bookings and keeping accurate records
- Taking prescription requests and correctly allocating medications for the clinical team to check
- Help with stock control, ordering and deliveries (including some light lifting)
- Running end-of-day banking
- Maintaining high standards in client-facing areas, keeping the clinic clean, tidy and stocked, both in the middle and end of the day, updating displays and client information packs
- Contributing to improvements and suggestions – we welcome new ideas on how to make things better for our clients, our patients and our staff
Shift pattern
This is a part-time position of 22 hours a week, 4 days of the week, ideally Monday 9 am – 3 pm, Tuesday 2 pm – 6 pm, Thursday 2 pm - 7 pm and Friday 12 pm – 7 pm.
