We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join us at Towerwood Vets in Cookridge, West Yorkshire. You will have access to a varied caseload including a mix of consults and surgery, which can be weighted to your preferences. We’re a practice that prioritises our people by placing an emphasis on careful diary management, a flexible rota and a strong focus on communication, wellbeing and teamwork. Work life balance is prioritised. There is no out of hours with this role; the ideal candidate would take a share in the weekend rota which is currently 1 in 6 (9-6 Saturday, 9-12 Sunday). A full time role would involve working 40 hours per week. We’re happy to support part time applications as well.
An experienced and supportive team supports your development and wellbeing. Our team is composed of 7 full time Vets, 10 RVNs, 3 ACAs and 4 SVNs, with a Practice Manager and dedicated reception team. We have a certificate holder in imaging and a Clinical Director who participates in the wellbeing and professional development of the team. CPD is encouraged and our team often attend conferences together to combine CPD with team bonding. Certificates can be funded for the right candidate.
We are situated in picturesque North West Leeds, with excellent travel links and easy access to Leeds, Harrogate and York, and the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales countryside. We offer facilities including five fully equipped rooms for general consults, prep room and theatre, separate cat and dog wards, and a second branch with two consult rooms, recovery kennels, prep and theatre.

Responsibilities- Provide veterinary medical and surgical care as part of a varied caseload (consults and surgery), aligned with your preferences.
- Contribute to diary management, team communication and client care to support wellbeing and work–life balance.
- Participate in weekend rota on a 1 in 6 basis (9-6 Saturday, 9-12 Sunday) as part of a full-time role; part-time arrangements considered.
- Engage in CPD and professional development opportunities; certificates can be funded for the right candidate.
- Collaborate with an experienced team including Vets, RVNs, ACAs and SVNs, and participate in wellbeing initiatives and learning opportunities.
