Wright and Morten Equine Vets, based in Cheshire, are a well-established 8.5 vet team providing a large range of ambulatory and clinic-based services for our clients. We are seeking to recruit an experienced veterinary surgeon for maternity cover (minimum 6 months) with the possibility of a longer-term contract. Finding someone who is the right fit is very important to us as we are proud to be a close-knit supportive team. The role requirements have the potential to be very flexible, so give us a call to chat about what works for you.
What are we looking for?
- Minimum 2 years experience
- Mon-Friday pm, option for P/T and OOH rota a possibility
- Confident with all routine and ambulatory emergency work
- Requirement to join the OOH rota is negotiable. The current rota is 1 in 5.
- Although full time is preferable, we will consider part time
- We would also consider someone interested in providing OOH cover on a week on week off basis.

- Opportunity for anaesthesia and surgery for the right candidate but this is not essential
- A lovely client base of leisure and sports horses with a good proportion of insured clients.
- Full range of ambulatory equipment available
- Incredible nursing team who are able to assist vets in clinic and on yard as well as providing their own extensive range of duties.
