As a GBS Integrations Management Accountant your primary responsibility is to oversee the integration of newly acquired clinics into the respective RTR systems, processes and overall ways of working in collaboration with GBS and Genpact RTR teams for your respective market(s). In this role you will additionally partner with our local market‑based Merger & Acquisition, Local Finance and Global Acquisition Finance colleagues to ensure that GBS in partnership with our outsourced provider Genpact are operationally ready for day 1 trading with any new acquired clinic for all Record to Report activities.
Key aspects of this role will require the GBS RTR Integration Management Accountant to have full oversight of month end close execution & reporting as a result of the RTR transactional month end close activities. Collaboration with Genpact, GBS RTR Global Integration Lead and GBS Regional Accounting Leads will be regular and important to ensuring that each month end close is accurate and timely. You will also be working closely with our GBS RTR Global Process Owner in driving a culture of continuous process improvement and leverage technology and automation tools to optimise process, workflows and to reduce manual/transactional activities as it relates to clinics based in Canada.
This role is a key role within GBS and ensures that we align to our group strategy in the integration of newly acquired clinics thus ensuring consistent and efficient balance sheet management and will ensure that our month end close process is accurate and done in compliance with IFRS and GAAP statutory requirements. IVC Evidensia is currently going through an exciting period of significant change, and you will need to embrace and drive that change.
This role requires a combination of strong analytical skills, leadership skills, extensive knowledge of global RTR practices, procedures and technology, the ability to navigate complex balance sheet processes and procedures, as well as the ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders in a rapidly evolving organisation.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
- Oversee the integration end‑to‑end month end reporting, ensuring accurate and timely processing for multiple countries and regions in collaboration with our multiple stakeholder groups.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with country CFO’s, Group Finance, GBS and Genpact management to ensure seamless balance sheet reporting delivery for all newly acquired clinics in Canada.
- Ensure compliance with global group policies, regulations and reporting requirements in each country within your region.
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of balance sheet reporting.
- Stay updated with finance IFRS/GAAP legislation, industry trends, and emerging technologies in global accounting management.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess month end reporting performance and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met for all newly acquired clinics.
- Oversee and manage relationships with external & internal auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders for audits and compliance checks for all newly acquired clinics with the full support of GBS RTR Integrations and Genpact Integrations.
- Provide strategic guidance and recommendations on balance sheet management related matters for all newly acquired clinics in Canada in partnership with local finance leadership.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and participate in professional networks or associations to foster knowledge exchange.
Experience/Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (CPA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Minimum of +3 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Preferable proficiency in a second language e.g., French.
- Proven track record of effective leadership and a strong behavioural profile in a complex RTR function, including working with RTR external partners and leading change.
- Preferable a strong knowledge of local finance reporting, regulations and compliance requirements across multiple countries and regions.
- Extensive experience in managing relationships within a finance reporting environment.
- Proficiency in using finance software or systems e.g., Open Accounts, Oracle, Blackline systems, etc.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinking and problem‑solving abilities to drive process improvements and optimise RTR operations.
- Strong analytical skills to assess Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet data, identify trends, and make data‑driven decisions.
- Understanding of data protection regulations and confidentiality requirements in handling financial information.
- Proficient in using MS Office applications, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with changes in global finance regulations and best practices.
