We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse - Small Animal (FTC) role at IVC Evidensia UK.
We’re seeking a proactive, team‑focused Registered Veterinary Nurse to join Hawthorne Lodge Veterinary Surgery on a fixed‑term contract. This is a full‑time position involving theatre work, anaesthetics, inpatient care and nurse consultations. You’ll also be part of a Saturday rota, with no out‑of‑hours requirements, and the practice is closed on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
This is a flexible position, and we’re happy to tailor the hours to suit you. We can accommodate between 30 and 40 hours per week, with shift lengths ranging from 6 to 10 hours depending on your preference and the number of working days. Our practice is open between 8am and 7pm, and your shifts will fall within these hours.
Hawthorne Lodge is a thriving first‑opinion small animal practice based in Banbury, within easy reach of Oxford and the Cotswolds. We’re equipped with everything needed to provide excellent client and patient care, including laparoscopic spays, endoscopy, ultrasound, dental suite with dental x‑ray, and separate cat/dog waiting areas. The practice has 5 consulting rooms, 3 theatres, 2 isolation wards, and a team of 5 Vets, 5 RVNs, 2 SVNs, plus a skilled reception team and Practice Director. Our focus on continuity of care means we build strong relationships with clients and each other.
We’re after a proactive, team‑focused Registered Veterinary Nurse with at least one year of post‑qualification experience. You’ll need to be confident across general nursing responsibilities, have good communication skills, and be someone who likes contributing ideas and supporting colleagues.
