Abbey Vet Clinic in Arbroath is looking for an experienced small animal veterinary surgeon to join our friendly and supportive team on a permanent basis. This role is ideal for a clinician ready to take on more responsibility, mentor recent graduates, and continue developing their own skills in a well-established practice.
You’ll have clinical freedom, a varied caseload, and opportunities to specialise—whether that’s studying for a certificate, offering specialist services, or advancing your surgical expertise. We also work closely with Cats Protection, running a dedicated cat clinic. Our caseload includes a mix of medical and surgical cases such as routine neuterings, pyometras, lump removals, GI foreign bodies, and dentistry.
We are a small animal practice with a small number of exotics and work closely with our sister practice, Robson Vets in Laurencekirk, who are also recruiting. If you and your partner want to work in friendly, close-knit practices while maintaining your autonomy, this could be the perfect fit. Flexible work patterns for your best life balance. Our flexible approach to rota patterns and working hours offers a balance that truly flexes with you and your lifestyle no matter what stage you are in your career. We work 40 hours over a 4/5 day week with Saturday mornings shared on an equal rota; however we are open to flexible working or part time hours for the right candidate. No OOH requirement.
