Veterinary Surgeon – Amery Veterinary Group, Alton

Salary of up to £60,000 DOE. Up to £2,000 Welcome Bonus. Up to £5,000 Relocation Allowance. Accommodation available.

We have a great opportunity for an experienced, small animal Vet to join our close-knit and supportive team. Vets primarily work at one of our 2 larger sites but spend some time at a second branch, allowing you to work up cases and develop a bonded relationship with clients while maintaining a varied caseload. We welcome both full or part time applicants. Typically, hours are 40 per week over 4 days, Monday – Friday, plus 1 in 3 Saturday mornings. We are open to flexibility around working days and hours. There are no out-of-hours requirements for this role; in-patients are cared for by the clinical team, and in-patient treatment checks are optional and paid for.

About the practice and location

We are a well-established, 100% small animal RCVS-accredited practice located near the South Downs National Park, with easy access to London via train. All sites are within an hour’s drive of Gatwick and Heathrow airports. We operate three surgeries serving Alton, Bordon and Grayshott, and strive for excellence in management, medicine, surgery and diagnostics to support the bond between people and their pets.

Team and work environment

We have a supportive and committed team across three well-equipped surgeries on the Hampshire/Surrey border, including 1 Clinical Director, 6 Vets, 4 RVNs, 2 SVNs and 7 Receptionists. We also have a visiting Orthopaedic Surgeon for complex cases.
