About the team: As the Global Health, Safety & Sustainability Advisor, you will develop, implement, and monitor strategies that advance our company’s commitment to health, safety, and environmental sustainability at both operational and strategic levels across multiple international locations. The role requires expertise in global EHS compliance, greenhouse gas footprinting and reduction, ISO 14001 management, and close collaboration with sales, CSR, procurement, and facilities teams. You will ensure our operations meet or exceed legal requirements, industry benchmarks, and clients’ evolving expectations for environmental and social responsibility, including Eco Vadis and other relevant frameworks.

How Will You Spend Your Day?

  • Health, Safety & Legal Compliance
    • Develop, implement, and monitor global H&S policies and procedures in compliance with local and international legislation (e.g., ESOS, SECA).
    • Advise site leaders on compliance and best practices, ensuring all incidents, near misses, and hazards are reported and investigated.
  • Sustainability & Environmental Management
    • Lead greenhouse gas footprinting activities: data collection, reporting, and verification in line with GHG Protocol.
    • Develop and deploy GHG reduction strategies in collaboration with cross‑functional teams, including facilities.
    • Maintain and continually improve the company’s ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, including leading and supporting external audits.
    • Monitor and report on sustainability KPIs (energy, waste, water, carbon), driving improvement initiatives across global operations.
    • Manage the Eco Vadis program and assessments to facilitate sustainability ratings improvement and ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Corporate Social Responsibility & Stakeholder Engagement
    • Work closely with CSR teams to align health, safety, and sustainability objectives with broader corporate values and goals.
    • Support sales and respond to client sustainability inquiries and RFP requirements, providing accurate data and case studies.
    • Develop and deliver employee engagement campaigns around sustainability, health, and wellness.
  • Continuous Improvement & Reporting
    • Benchmark company performance against industry standards and legal requirements, recommending areas for improvement.
    • Prepare regular reports for executive leadership summarizing progress, challenges, and opportunities in sustainability and H&S.
    • Stay updated on emerging sustainability and H&S legislation globally and advise the business accordingly.
  • Spending time at our office 2–3 times per week.

What Is Your Background?

  • Degree in Environmental Management, Occupational Health & Safety, or related discipline.
  • Proven experience in environmental/sustainability roles in international organisations (IT or technology sector advantageous).
  • Demonstrated experience with greenhouse gas footprinting, reduction projects, and ISO 14001 management systems.
  • Deep knowledge of relevant health, safety, and sustainability legislation across multiple jurisdictions (e.g., ESO, SECA).
  • Experience with Eco Vadis or other sustainability rating platforms.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and training skills.
